I like Disney's Goofy. Of the Disney characters, he is the most adult like one.
I like how Goofy is doesn't give up. He has determination even he goofs up or fumbles around in his attempts to do things. There are times his determination will result in something good or positive. In the different short films and the two main movies, his determination results in some really funny situations and results. He got there by not giving up so easily.
Goofy is a cartoon character I could - in some ways - relate to. He is a good nature person who cares about those around him.
I like how he tries to do the right thing. He might not do the right thing correctly but he does do it in a funny and humorous way. Sometimes the result might not be as Goofy wants but he learns from the experience.
These are just some of my observations. I do not know if the those who originated Goofy had these in mind when they did. They changed him from a minor character to a major one. It seems he is becoming a minor one - at best - since there are so few Goofy things at the Disney store and no real Goofy movies since A Goofy Movie and An Extremely Goofy Movie.
Big Goofy Guy is my personal web site since I am big, a guy and I like Goofy. I had Big Warp Guy (still used on some sites) but OS/2 Warp is no longer around (was replaced by eComStation then ArcaOS (was formerly Blue Lion).
